Carmel celebrated Family Day with gusto and gaiety in the school campus.

Carmel Convent Hr. Sec. School celebrated the “International Family Day” on the theme “Climate Action and Families Focus on SDG 13”. The aim to celebrate this event was to revive the faded love among the families and to raise awareness about the importance of a family in one’s life.
The day’s proceedings began with the invocation of the almighty through a special prayer service for the entire Carmel family. The programme commenced with an extravaganza celebration with RJ Shwetima who graced the occasion as the special guest of the day. The special day witnessed an extensive array of marvellous performances by the students of higher secondary wing. A soulful song on theme “Family Bond” was sung beautifully by students of Class XI which was followed by a rhythmic Bhangra performance by class XII. To rejoice the undeniable importance of the family, the school continued the celebration with the staff and conducted various games and activities. Laughter and gaiety were the over-all mood of campus on the day.
RJ Shwetima, in her special message laid stress on the importance of restoring family values among students. She also conveyed that family is the real strength of an individual and it is really sad that we are really losing that sense day by day.
The School Principal Sr. Maria Swati thanked the guest for her presence and applauded the flawless performances of the Carmelites. She focussed on the promotion of a peaceful and inclusive society. She also encouraged the students and stimulated them to achieve the 17 Sustainable Goals (2015-2030).
