Swacch Bharat Abhiyan

Swacch Bharat Abhiyan : Say No to plastic.
A programme on the topic “Swachh Bharat Abhyan’” was organized on the directions of Hon’ble Mayor, JMC Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta in collaboration with Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School Jammu. During the programme, Hon’ble Mayor Sh. Chader Mohan Gupta was the Chief Guest and Sh. Suraj Prakash Padha, Chairman Swachh Bharat Mission Committee, JMC was the Guest of Honour. They helped the students to learn about segregation of material for the process of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery” etc. Hon'ble Mayor, JMC encouraged the students to convert the garbage into useful resources and persuaded them to work hard in order to complete the task of Swachh Bharat and raise Jammu to a level of cleanest city in India. He further thanked the school administration for cooperation and participation in the Mission. Continuing to create awareness, Hon’ble Mayor also briefed the Carmelites about the organic and inorganic waste. To conclude, all the students took a pledge to say no to plastic and to keep India more cleaner and greener.
