Since the '90s, Carmel has insolently served the people of Jammu. On 7th April 1995, the school was blessed by Late Bishop Hippolytus Kunnunkal OFM Cap, in the presence of three Apostolic Carmel Sisters namely, Sr. M. Jacinthe, Sr. M. Janice and Sr. M. Sumita. Began initially with LKG, UKG, and Class I, Camel is one of the most popular schools in the region. Over the years, the little seed that was sown in 1995, has grown up to become a sprawling tree.

The first batch of Class X students scored 100.00% results in the Board Examinations in 2005. Since then, year after year, Carmel has experienced outstanding results in academics. We always believe in growing and working hard, thus, Carmel became a Higher Secondary School for girls, offering Science, Commerce, and Humanities in 2017.

The institution offers a sound value-based education and has well-qualified, competent and tech-savvy faculty that make a difference. It offers a wide range of scholastic as well as co-scholastic activities. The school has a well-furnished base, fully-equipped smart classes, well-developed labs and playgrounds, and provides a plethora of opportunities to sustain a healthy lifestyle and promote quality life.

The school is recognized by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir and is affiliated to Jammu & Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE).
